Be a temporary local by givingMany communities across Scotland have either regular or one off activities which are focused on making their home a better place to live, work and visit – and they are always looking for volunteers to help out – many hands make light work!
We have some examples here but you can also take time to join local ‘whats on’ pages on FaceBook for your host community to hear what is going on and to ask how to get involved.
A morning helping with a beach clean or 2 hours in the community garden will be time well spent as you get the chance to chat to the locals and also know your time has made a difference.
